Parking Lot Striping for the Holiday Season

Friday, November 28th, 2008

Now that the holiday season has officially begun, it may be time to start thinking about how you can make your parking garage better. During the holiday season, more people are taking the roads, in order to go shopping as well as to go to visit relatives, than during any other time of the year, making it important that you have your parking garage set up as ideally as you possibly can. For instance, ask yourself how long it’s been since your parking lot striping has been done?

Parking lot striping is very important when it comes to a parking garage. It is the parking lot striping that helps your customers to know where, exactly, they are supposed to park. It is the parking lot striping that lets people know where they are supposed to park their vehicle, and it is parking lot striping that allows them to park their car easily without having to worry about hitting other vehicles. If it’s been a year or longer since you’ve had your parking lot striping done, it’s time to get it done again. You can have it done during the slow time of your business, so that your parking garage can look beautiful during the busy shopping season.

Doggie Parking and Parking Lot Striping

Wednesday, November 26th, 2008

Have you thought about the animals outside of your company? Some commercial businesses don’t think about pets, and focus only on the human traffic that they get. But, if you’ve got pedestrian traffic coming into your store, chances are that you’ve got people who would want to bring their pets with them. People love their animals, and dogs are especially fun to walk. If you don’t have a place for your customer’s dog to rest at, you may be missing out on some potential customers and losing money. How can you welcome animals to your store without actually bringing them into your store?

One way to do it is to use parking lot striping to help you to create a doggie parking lot. There are a number of doggie parking apparatuses that you can purchase and place outside of your business. These apparatuses allow people to literally park their dogs outside of the building by providing places to tie the leashes. The next time you have your parking lot striping done, you can then choose to mark down the area on the sidewalk where your dogs are, allowing your customers, and the dogs to be extremely happy.

Parking Lot Striping and Black Friday

Tuesday, November 25th, 2008

Let’s talk about Black Friday for a moment. If you’re a commercial business, Black Friday is likely your favorite time of year – and also your busiest. Black Friday can be worry some for any business, no matter how organized you are, simply because it is something that is so crazy and wonderful at the same time. You can’t predict how many people you’ll get, and you can’t predict how insane the traffic will be. It may be too late now to prepare for Black Friday by changing around your parking lot striping, but it’s never too late to get ready for next year.

How can parking lot striping help you to prepare for Black Friday? Easily. First of all, you may be misusing the room you’ve got in your parking lot right now. If you can fit in a dozen more cars safely, you will be making more room for people who are coming to shop for Black Friday. Next, take a look at your pedestrian traffic markings. Are there any? The more you’ve got marked down, and the easier it is to understand, the smoother the traffic, both pedestrian and automobile, will flow, making Black Friday a bit calmer.

What Are Detectable Warning Mats?

Monday, November 24th, 2008

When more and more people are starting to slow down and to take a look around, we are noticing things. There have been a number of people recently, who have been heard to look down on detectable warning mats at their favorite store, which have been there for awhile, and who have suddenly started to wonder what they were. Are we starting to slow down and look around due to the economy being on the shaky ground that it’s on, or is there another reason why we’re slowing down?

Regardless as to why we’re slowing down and finally glancing around, the simple fact is that we are. Many people are noticing detectable warning mats and are curious about what they are and how they work. Detectable warning mats are mats that are placed at a business which help a person who is visually impaired to figure out that there is a change in pavement coming on. This way they can be prepared for heavier traffic or for a different feeling beneath their feet, greatly helping them to maneuver around. If you own a business and do not yet have a detectable warning mat, or a truncated dome, you may want to look into getting one.

Warehouse Floor Striping and Line Striping Working Together

Friday, November 21st, 2008

There are times when a business can offer you more than one plan, helping you to make your entire work area a better place. For instance, a good line striping company can not only help you to get your line striping done in your delivery area of your business, it can also help you to get your warehouse line striping done as well, allowing the warehouse floor striping to flow well into the parking lot striping so that the two work together flawlessly. But how can this work so well?

When you’ve got a warehouse, you often need to be able to have room for your employees to get to your docking area. Having striping done makes it easy to figure out where everything goes and what ways everyone is supposed to go in. When you add the parking lot striping and the unloading zone markings in with the warehouse line striping, and get it all done at the same time, the two can flow together seamlessly, making it easy for those who are working, and for those who make the deliveries, to work together so that your business keeps running smoothly.

Warehosue Striping

Warehouse Striping is a type of line painting that is usually performed using a high end two part epoxy or urethane product. Often times, warehouses need this type of striping to help keep their warehouses organized and to maximize their space. The problem with regular parking lot paint products is that they are not designed to stand up to the ware and tear of forklifts and pallet jacks. Trueline Striping uses a very strong paint product that not only holds up to this kind of abuse, but also complies with all California state laws regardsing air quality concerns.  If you have any questions regarding this type of Warehouse Floor Striping, please feel free to give us a call at 714-630-9060 or email us at This Link.

Is Warehouse Floor Striping Necessary?

Monday, November 17th, 2008

Can warehouse floor striping really help you to keep things more organized in your business? That depends on the type of business you have. If you’ve got a business where you store items and you never touch them again, like a large storage facility, then warehouse floor painting may help you to stay a bit more organized, but it isn’t necessarily something that you need to implement. This, however, isn’t what the normal warehouse looks like.

The normal warehouse has deliveries and is constantly sending things out as well. Warehouse floor striping is a great way to make sure that the items in your warehouse get shipped out to the right place, and that they’re expedited correctly no matter how busy things get. Warehouse floor striping also helps pedestrian traffic to stay organized, allowing you to not have to worry as much about people getting into accidents on the floor, and making it simple for everyone to know where everything is and to go to the right section at all times. Warehouse floor striping is not only a good idea, but it’s also extremely affordable especially when you weigh the cost against messing up orders.

Sandblasting and Striping the L.A. Fire department Rodeo Track

Friday, November 14th, 2008

Often times here at Trueline Striping, we get requests to do Sandblasting. It is a service we offer with years of experience doing it. This Fall, we were contacted by one of our long time accounts the Los Angeles Fire Department. They needed help getting rodeo tracks repainted. If your not sure what a rodeo track is, its what the fire department uses to train their drivers on the big fire engines. This project required us to go to three locations and remove there old rodeo tracks and replace them with new freshly painted one using a high performance oil base paint.

Red rodeo lines removed from concrete.

With paint removal, there are few ways a customer can go. First choice is sand blasting. The second choice is shot blasting. Both are effective, but since the work was outside, we decided to go with sand blasting. Sandblasting is slightly cheaper and the mess can easily be cleaned up. If the project was indoors, we would most likely recommend shotblasting. Also Shot Blasting tends to leave a slightly more noticeable scar on a concrete surface.

Curb Painting Scams

Friday, November 14th, 2008

You’re at home when suddenly there is a knock on the door. It is someone standing there asking if you’d like to have curb painting done in front of your home. They only want to charge you $25 or so and, since it seems like such a slight amount of money, you decide to agree to have the curb painting done and pay the fee. The person promises to put you in the books for tomorrow morning. But when tomorrow morning comes and there’s no one there. What happened?

You have likely been scammed. There are a number of scam artists who have decided to start telling home owners or business people that they will be doing curb painting in their area and charge each home money. In one neighborhood they could earn a few hundred dollars or more, never letting on that they are scamming the people who live there. So, how do you avoid this? To begin with, never agree to let someone who contacts you, do your curb painting. Instead, go to someone that you trust and that you hire for your curb painting needs. This way you will never have to worry about being scammed.
