Signs On the Road

Monday, March 17th, 2008

As vehicles are getting bigger, it is getting more difficult for some to see the signs that show where people are supposed to go. If, for instance, you are driving behind an 18-wheeler, you may not be able to see the sign in the parking lot that tells you which way to go to get into the right parking lot for the store you are trying to get to. This is one reason that it is very important to get the proper parking lot striping done in your lot.

When you have parking lot striping done, you can work with a professional to ensure that you are able to get signs put directly on the asphalt that will help direct your customers or clients as to which way to go. Arrows, handicapped parking signs, and even signs that show loading and unloading zones can be marked directly onto the pavement to help direct your customers in the right direction. If you are in a place where your customers or your clients may have a difficult time knowing which way to go, you might want to considering having some signs put directly on the pavement using parking lot striping. This will stop all confusion.

Celebrity Accidents

Friday, March 14th, 2008

Are you a tabloid reader? Even if you’re not, you have probably heard about the massive amounts of accidents that celebrities are getting into lately. Some of them are getting into car accidents because they do not know how to properly drive, but there are those who are getting into accidents simply because they were not able to easily see the parking lot striping on the road or in the lot that they were trying to park in. This is a very real problem, especially in California, that plagues all drivers, not just celebrities.

A lot of parking lot managers and city officials do not realize how often parking lot striping has to be applied. If you are in a busy area, it should be applied at least twice a year, if not more. Some places apply the striping up to four times a year, just to ensure that the drivers are easily able to see the parking lot striping. Another problem is that many parking lot managers try to save money by doing the striping themselves. This almost always ends in disaster, as they do not know how to properly lay out the parking lot to ensure that there is enough room for all of the vehicles.

An Expert’s Opinion

Would you try to build a house if you never had built one before? Probably not. Would you try to create a bicycle without knowing how it is done? Again, probably not. Why is it, then, that people who have never striped a parking lot before believe that they can lay out a parking lot in a good manner? When you are thinking about parking lot striping, especially for a new lot or for one that you are trying to revamp, you should call on an expert to get the right layout for your lot.

Parking lot striping, while it is not an art, is a very technical thing. You have to have the right amount of space for the car to fit into the slot, and the right amount of space between the slots so that people can get out of their vehicle without having to worry about their car door hitting another person’s vehicle. If you do not have any training in parking lot striping, you will definitely want to hire a professional. They will be able to show you how the lot should be laid out professionally in order to help your customers or employees have a place to park that is easy to get in and out of.

Beautiful for Customers

Monday, March 10th, 2008

When you own a business, you want to make things as beautiful for your customers as you can. The more your company is user-friendly, the more you will find that your customers return again and again. Part of being user friendly is having a parking lot that not only appeals to your customers, but is easy to maneuver around in. Having parking lot striping done correctly a few times a year is an important part of keeping your parking lot looking beautiful for your customers.

Parking lots that have no striping, or parking lot striping that is worn down, look old and haggard. Your customers are not able to see where they are supposed to park and people wind up parking incorrectly, leaving no space for the customers to walk around their vehicles and into the store or your business. In order to keep your customers happy, you need to make sure that the parking lot is striped at least twice a year, possibly more if you have enough traffic to wear the striping down fast. If you have your parking lot striping done correctly, your customers will return over and over again and will remember how nicely your parking lot was laid out.
